Chargebee Academy – Certified BillingOps Expert & Certified Expert in SaaS Analytics

I use Chargebee on a regular basis, so when they launched their Academy I was excited to learn and was able to apply most of what I learned on the job.

I initially completed their Certified BillingOps Expert (Level 1) which I found relatively easy (as a regular user of their software). It covered topics like invoicing, credit notes, quotes and pro-ration, as well as metered billing.

As I am currently working on Key Results for my organisation, I then completed the Certified Expert in SAAS Analytics. This is the course that I found most interesting (and learnt the most from).

It covers metrics for Start ups, Growth, Maturity Stages, Customer Acquisition and Retention and general Revenue metrics. It also goes into Diagnosing Recurring Revenue Problems and Pace of Growth.

From an instructional design perspective they offer well designed courses that are easy to complete, include a course outline, about the course, and they cater to different learning preferences and provide transcripts of the lessons (as well as video/audio).
